Oxan Collective was born from a classic case of “there has to be a better way.” As two friends trying to explore more movement, mindfulness, and wellness in our own lives, we kept running into the same roadblocks—high prices, overwhelming options, and a lack of clear info about what was actually worth trying. We’d say to each other over and over, “Why isn’t there a more accessible, low-pressure way to try this stuff out?” So, we decided to build it ourselves.
We created Oxan Collective to make wellness more approachable for real people—those who are curious but maybe don’t know where to start, don’t want to commit to expensive memberships, or just want to feel more comfortable walking into a new space. Nanaimo’s wellness community has played a huge role in shaping us—from the small businesses who’ve welcomed us in, to the people who keep showing up and reminding us why this matters. There’s something really special happening here, and we’re just grateful to be part of it.
